…. a fond farewell to Woodstock
Three Days of exhibitions complete and the Museum of New Ideas is getting ready to roll out of Woodstock Ontario and head toward its next engagement in Fredericton New Brunswick at Connexion ARC.
While in Woodstock the museum reached close to 400 people from 7 to 70 years old. The staggering figure for just three and a half days of exhibitions was made possible by the organization of Mary Reid and the excellent staff at the Woodstock Gallery. I am very encouraged by visitor response to the exhibition. As well, I am glad that the exhibit appears to allow visitors to engage in many different ways. During the school visits, while some students were more enthusiastic than others, for the youth who become engaged and enthusiastically involved, creating animations and taking photographs … all of the work creating the museum, the exhibitions and the driving becomes worthwhile in an instant.
